Funnel cloud formed to the northwest
of the farm.
| I was working outside. |
| It formed slowly and quietly. |
There was no great wind
or rain here
| Just bubbling clouds, moving fast |
| It was the coolest thing... |
But scary too
I snapped the photos in a period of
less than 5 minutes |
as it moved over the
farm northwest to southeast |
It passed without any effect here
but it did a lot of damage
east of us.(dang...)

| Momma Hen and diddle... |
Sundown on the farm...
A pair of swallows raised 2 broods
of 4 babies over the summer and fall
Every 5 minutes or so - they come
bring the brood a nice juicy bug.
We learned to dodge them as they
came and went - sun up to sun down! |
Onions, garlic, shallots and field
peas
curing upstairs in the farmhouse. |
Its too hot and humid to leave them
in the barn to cure. |
Squash and other summer veggies
out in the big garden.
Second planting of tomatoes in
the older greenhouse. (We were
still picking tomatoes for
Starr on Dec 22!)
Fall veggie seedlings...
