Funnel cloud formed to the northwest
of the farm.
2011photos028.jpg
I was working outside.
2011photos029.jpg
It formed slowly and quietly.
2011photos030.jpg
There was no great wind
or rain here
2011photos031.jpg
Just bubbling clouds, moving fast
2011photos032.jpg
It was the coolest thing...
2011photos033.jpg
But scary too
2011photos034.jpg
I snapped the photos in a period of
less than 5 minutes
2011photos035.jpg
as it moved over the
farm northwest to southeast
2011photos036.jpg
It passed without any effect here
2011photos037.jpg
but it did a lot of damage
east of us.(dang...)

Sundown on the farm...
2011photos106.jpg
A pair of swallows raised 2 broods
of 4 babies over the summer and fall
2011photos113.jpg
Every 5 minutes or so - they come
bring the brood a nice juicy bug.
We learned to dodge them as they
came and went - sun up to sun down!
2011photos118.jpg
Onions, garlic, shallots and field peas
curing upstairs in the farmhouse.
2011photos120.jpg
Its too hot and humid to leave them
in the barn to cure.
2011photos151.jpg
Squash and other summer veggies
out in the big garden.
2011photos152.jpg
Second planting of tomatoes in
the older greenhouse.  (We were
still picking tomatoes for
Starr on Dec 22!)
2011photos153.jpg
