2012 Sanders Ridge Organic Farm Food Guild (CSA)
Now accepting
applications
Thank you for your interest in our
2012 Food Guild!
For the past 6 years, our
Farm's Food Guild has offered our members quality USDA Certified
Organic produce from a trusted source
- and for our
farm - a fair and equitable compensation for our
harvests. It is such a joy to be able to work at
something you love and it is double the pleasure to get to
know the people you do it for (and with)!
The 2012 Food Guild will be our 7th - and we anticipate - our BEST
yet!
Our
farm's Food Guild is a traditional
CSA (with a few additional perks!) Members
pay a membership fee to
our farm
in advance of the growing season
in return for a
weekly
Share in the farm's harvest.
The
membership fee investment enables us to purchase the necessary
materials, seeds, and labor for the growing season. In
tern, members receive a
variety of freshly harvested vegetables each week.
The types of vegetables will vary week to week reflecting our local growing season and what's coming out of the
garden. (View
List).
Each member signs a
statement agreeing to
accept
the same risks to
their investment that we face and will not expect refund of
their membership fee for circumstances beyond our control.
Members may rest assured knowing that
in order to insure quality harvests
and minimize the risk of crop loss we incorporate progressive
and sustainable
farming techniques including drip irrigation, greenhouse/high
tunnel production, row covers, crop rotation, succession planting,
mulches and cover cropping, beneficial insect and animal
habitats, companion planting, selection and seed saving of top
performing open pollinated/heirloom seeds, purchase of seeds
and nursery stock from reputable and trusted seed sources, and we
grow several varieties of each type of vegetable.
Members also agree to bring leave reusable
box we
furnish each week when they pick up their
share, and they understand that
we cannot hold
or re-deliver shares that are not picked up.
