Delivery/Pick-up
Locations, Days, Times
Deliveries
will begin the week of May 12th. Each member will receive
their weekly harvest "share" in a waxed produce box with their name on
it. It is important that you remember to bring your empty boxes
back with you each time you pick up your share (so we will have a box
in which to pack your next week's share!)
If you are
not able to make it to the pick-up place at the time designated, please
arrange to have someone else pick it up for you so that we can stay on
time for the next delivery location.
We've tried to select delivery locations, times and days
that will be as convenient for all of the members as possible.
Please review the delivery addresses and the pick-up specifics below and
let me know if you need to switch locations.

The shares will be in the (right-side) refrigerator -
located in the packing shed (which is a free-standing aluminum
carport situated between the farm house and the big white church
building. OR they may be in the large walk-in fridge if the
little fridge is full. Chances are we'll be there when you come, but often
way back in one of the fields and might not hear you come in.
If you are planning a
vacation during the season or will not be able to pick up your share on
your delivery day -
Part of your membership agreement is that you will arrange to have
someone else pick it up - to either store for you (or given to them as a
gift!) If you are unable to arrange to have someone else pick up your
share, we will either donate the contents to a family in need or sell
it to another family on our waiting list. We ask that you let us know a minimum of a week in advance if possible, so that we can plan
accordingly…
Bring back your empty
box when you pick up your share each week:
It would also be helpful if you could go
ahead and unfold it so it will be flat. This will better accommodate
the space available at the drop-off locations as well as the bed of my
truck!

The Sanders
Ridge Food Guild
is a
CSA (Community Supported
Agriculture). Individuals contract with us at the beginning of the season
to grow a weekly share of food for them. At the beginning of each growing
season we determine a yearly budget for the distribution costs, investments
for seeds and tools, and other associated expenses - for the core group of
members for whom our farm has contracted to grow. Members pay for their
membership share at the beginning of the growing season, enabling us to purchase the materials required
and provide useful information and appropriate activities
to strengthen and enhance our member/grower relationship and each member's
farm experience...
In return for their
share investment, each member receives a box of fresh organic produce once a
week for the number of weeks included in the Membership term. As crops rotate throughout the season, contents of the weekly shares
will vary by size and variety, reflecting our local growing season and
conditions.
Members understand
that the primary risk
we all share is damaging weather and pests (like the flock of tomato
tasting mocking birds we experienced last spring!) and that we minimize
risk of crop loss through many preventative measures and techniques -
including extensive drip and overhead irrigation systems, seedling
protection in our 96 foot greenhouse and field row covers, and
succession planting...
Membership Agreement
All members accept in advance the same risks to the harvest and their investment
as WE face for circumstances beyond our control
- and understand that refund or adjustment of membership payment
cannot be made.
Members also agree to help us with our commitment to reduce waste by
taking good care of the 2 new waxed boxes given to them at the start
of the season - and making every effort to remember to bring their
empty box to the pick-up location each.
